About SBBC

The research carried out at the Structural Biology and Biophysical Chemistry (SBBC) laboratory at New York University Abu Dhabi is at the intersection between the biochemical and biophysical sciences.

Different biophysical and biochemical techniques, including X-ray crystallography, are used for the characterization of protein structures and mechanisms. Currently, we are investigating different enzymes for the discovery and rationale drug design of new therapeutics and their role in the characterization of unique biological phenomena.

The SBBC laboratory also aims to promote structural biology, enzymology, and protein biochemistry in the United Arab Emirates through research and core facility collaboration.
