SARS-CoV-2
COVID-19 has spread globally and caused an unprecedented global health pandemic.
The discovery of therapeutics that can inhibit the progression of the SARS-CoV-2 will ensure a strong control over the spread of the virus. Our lab aims to biochemically and biophysically characterize the two proteases (3CLpro and PLpro) for the discovery and development of antiviral therapeutics against COVID-19. The proteases are important for the production of new virus particles by releasing functional proteins from the main virus polypeptides.
